Deleting your data

If you've commented a keyword on one of our Instagram posts, messaged us, or left your email on our site, you can ask us to forget you. Here's how, and what happens.

What we remove

  • Your name and email address.
  • Your Instagram username and the ID Instagram gives us for you.
  • The comments and messages that triggered our automatic replies, and the topics you asked about.
  • Your place on our email list, and on our newsletter list in Kit (the service that sends our newsletters): you're unsubscribed there straight away, and then deleted.
  • Any checkout you started and didn't finish.
  • The sign-in account our site made for you when you asked for the free class, if you never bought anything.

We keep an anonymous count (for example, that a comment was answered on a certain day), with nothing that points back to you.

If you bought something, we keep the order record (what you bought, when, and the email on it) for as long as tax law requires. Your member account stays open so you keep what you paid for, unless you ask us to close it too; then any membership you pay for is cancelled first, so nothing more is charged, and the account is deleted, along with anything you posted in the community.

When it's done

We act on requests promptly, usually within a few days. We'll email you once it's done, or reply on Instagram if that's the only way we know you.

Your comments and messages on Instagram itself belong to Instagram; you can delete those in the Instagram app.
